These beautiful 2-ply, twisted, low-luster spun silks have been hand-dyed by master dyer, Cheryl Kolander. The dyes are the natural plant and insect materials that have been used for hundreds of years. These silks are very easy to work with and are wonderful for all kinds of embroidery and needlepoint. Most colors can be carefully hand washed. Slight variations in shading will occur in different dye lots, so please order enough for your project. On the other hand, this variation can add charm and authenticity to traditional works.
